How does it work?
VOICE OVER IP
Voice over IP (VoIP) is a technology that transmits your voice over the Internet rather than through traditional phone lines. Our hosted PBX solution uses it to connect your VoIP phone to the vControl system through your internet connection, letting you have a customisable, personal service that only requires an internet connection.
Private Branch Exchanges (PBXs) are spectacularly complicated and most PBX providers charge you an arm and a leg to make the changes you want, and usually take their time doing it! vControl was developed with this in mind and we’ve gone a step further, creating an interface that lets you make changes with a click of the mouse and allows you be in control any time, even at 3 in the morning!
The vControl website is designed to be straight forward and user-friendly, letting you manage your PBX solution yourself, in a way that is easy to use and lets you see what services you are using at any given time.
Once you are logged in, vControl lets you change anything you like and you can start using your modified system straight away!
PUBLIC SWITCHED TELEPHONE NETWORK
When voice is sent by your phone to BlueStream, it is transmitted via a high-speed computer network to as close as possible to its final destination – be that nationally or the next suburb. Via huge capacity Internet to Telephone gateways, your call is placed on the normal Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and reaches its destination as a normal telephone call. Not only is it a local call, but volume discounts mean we can offer you untimed call rates!
